First Post

This is the first of many blogs that I am to write this fall semester. Most will probably be pointless and uninformative because I do not enjoy the idea of blogging. If one was to write for pleasure, it should be something of literary merit, not about random things that happen in their day that most people don't really care about. Since I have never blogged I will keep an open mind.

  1. Dmitri,
Where do you think novels--or literary works--come from? I am willing to bet most come from writing for pleasure or even random things. Besides, blogging will help you (specifically) see how others use and even manipulate language (phraseology speaking) which will improve your writing and writing strategies. Also, for some, the hardest part of writing is actually getting what is in their heads...out! Give this a chance...you don't have to be in love with the idea, but I do think doing this will help you become a better writer.

  2. PS--
Since you can write about whatever you want, feel free to ignore writing about 'random things' and focus on works that you feel have literary merit.
